Tortoiseshell : : Female (spayed) : : Adult : : Small Won't you think about adopting me?
My name is Cabbage. I'm a two-year-old tortoiseshell cat with a coat that looks like it was brushed with caramel, chocolate, and cream. People often stop and admire my sleek fur, but what I really want is someone to see beyond it—to the gentle, loyal cat I am inside. Until recently, I was living with a kind young woman who was in college. She loved me dearly and never imagined we’d have to part. But after graduation, life threw her a curve. She had to move back in with her mother, who already had two dogs that don’t tolerate cats. It broke her heart, but she knew she couldn’t put me in danger. Now I’m here, trying to understand how I went from a quiet home to a shelter. I know I’m lucky to be safe, but I miss having someone to curl up with, someone to purr for. I’m still friendly and hopeful—because I know what it feels like to be loved, and I know I still have so much of that love to give. If you’re interested in adopting me, please fill out an application.
